Just some of the antics that Jet gets into during the day.( I did not place him or coerce him into any of the following positions) He is just crazy and very active. Our place now looks like a jungle gym because I have had to resort to putting the couch cushions on the floor so he had something to climb over, apparently the dining room table and the bumbo weren't cutting it.

I admit that I am not that great about updating the blog but feel like I need to now before too much happens and I end up writing pages of updates.

So to the good stuff.

Jet:

crawls around everywhere

pulls himself up on the gates that we have set up (because he is crawling around so much)

loves Kaui and smiles at him all the time

plays tug a war with Kaui

is an amazing sleeper and sleeps through the night

takes 2 naps a day and gets really grumpy and wiggly when he misses one

loves his jolly jumper

loves his solid meals and has 3 of them a day

absolutly loves his channel changer(we had to give him his own)

Loves when dad gets on the ground and plays with him

wants to climb all over me like a jungle gym

rarely cries but gets really whiney if tired

follows anyone into the master bedroom if the door is left open

loves being naked

really likes bath time

will fall asleep on nearly anyone if tired

doesn't play shy

wants to be moving all the time and doesn't sit still for long

has 2 bottom teeth

has very chubby legs and a orange tinged nose(from all the orange food he eats)

loves drinking water out of his yellow sippy cup

likes going for walks in his stroller

wants to climb over anything

does not lay still for diaper changes

Teething, solids and a new car seat!!

The time has come that Mike has been dreading since he found out I was pregnant. Solids!! and if you are not familiar with what happens now that he can eat them let me put it bluntly. He gets stinky normal poop. No more newborn bowel movements that are not odorless but don't smell bad. Poor Mike does not have a very strong stomach when it comes to stuff like this and I think that he has been losing sleep over the thought of having to change diapers. I would like to add here that he has been amazing up until this point with diaper changes. He probably has done just as many as I have. I guess it helps that Jet only poops once or twice a week. :) Still he's great, and has been since the very beginning. Jet doesn't particularly like his rice cereal it's been slow going but when he hasn't had anything other then milk what can you expect.

It seems like 6 months was the time that both Mike and I were dreading as Mike had the poop issue and my issue is the dreaded teeth!!!. As most of you know I am nursing Jet and would like to continue as long as I can. Please pray that Jet doesn't want to give me a nipple ring as i am not really into that kinda thing. :) He has been good so far with not biting but his tooth is still coming in so things could change fast. Please also pray for my sanity as the pain of teething is causing Jet to get up multiple times a night, which after months of him pretty much sleeping through the night has been tough to deal with.

Things really do happen in 3's. Today is the day that we get Jet his new car seat as his infant bucket as they call it has become to squishy for him. I just can't believe that his growing up so fast. So into storage his baby seat goes and out comes the big boy chair.

As for Mike and I nothing is too new, Mike is busy as work and I am busy at home, oh and Kaui is busy trying to figure out how to teach Jet to throw his toys for him. :)

I knew the day would come and I was hoping it wouldn't have come this soon, but Jet has discovered Kaui's toys and that Kaui reacts when he touches them. I haven't decided if this is a bad thing or not because now that Kaui realizes that Jet can maybe throw the ball he might not bug us to do it. Or, I am going to have to baby proof the entire house because Jet is going to be stuffing all of the toys that Kaui brings him in his mouth. Talk about a new level of immunity.

Jet has also discovered the crinkle paper on his play mat and loves to sit there and play with it. It sure is amazing how over night they learn something new. He will be 6 months on the 22nd of this month and getting his first taste of solid food. I am excited and nervous, excited that Mike is going to be able feed him but nervous that he is going to be a picky baby and not like anything. I am also very excited to be able to set up our amazing high chair that Mike's parents bought us. I have always loved high chairs and couldn't wait for the day to be able to have one in my kitchen. Weird I know.
